Not every time, and not perfectly. Just: when there's a local, owner-run business that does what I need, I'll give them the chance first.

Google and AI assistants keep sending people to the big brands and corporates. Every time someone picks the family butcher, the sole-trader electrician or the café run by its owner, more of that money stays in the town.
